Kindly note that all event submissions are subject to a manual review, which may require up to two weeks before publication on our website. Approval Criteria

An event may be approved if it meets one or more of the following criteria, or if these criteria outweigh any reasons for rejection:

• Diversity: Highlights the diverse range of activities available within Nairobi.
• Tourism Focus: Is tailored to tourists or contributes to the city’s appeal for visitors.
• Host City Pillars: Aligns with one or more of Jambo Nairobi’s Ultimate Host City pillars.
• Limited Duration: Occurs over a specific, limited timeframe.
• Accessibility & Appeal: Is accessible and attractive to a broad audience of consumers.

Rejection Criteria

Jambo Nairobi reserves the right to decline any event submission if it meets one or more of the following conditions, or if these conditions outweigh any reasons for approval:

• Sales & Promotions: Sales-driven or promotional events (such submissions are better suited for the Deals page).
• Fundraisers: Fundraising activities.
• Corporate Events: Corporate events or seminars.
• Regular Business Offerings: Events indistinguishable from standard business operations or recurring offerings.
• Insufficient Details: Submissions lacking adequate or clear event information.
• Location Limit: Events situated more than 40 km outside Nairobi city boundaries.
• Offensive Content: Events containing material deemed offensive or inappropriate for the public.

Submission & Review Process

All event submissions undergo a manual review to ensure compliance with the outlined criteria. The review process may take up to two weeks from the date of submission. For expedient approval, please ensure that your event details are comprehensive, accurate, and relevant. We recommend verifying that your event aligns with Jambo Nairobi’s commitment to promoting dynamic community engagement across the city.
